Grave III.H.16 2nd Lieutenant Fairlie Russell Martin. 1st Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers attached 57 Squadron RFC. Age 19. KIA 29.6.17. Son of Rear Admiral W. E. R. Martin, C.M.G., and Mrs. Annie Josephine Martin, of "Mabruk," Saltash, Cornwall.


He was flying in a DH4, A7488, with Lieutenant Duncan Matheson Goodyear (pilot), he is buried in Brandhoek Military Cemetery Grave I.D.14, on a photo reconnaissance patrol when they were shot down by anti-aircraft fire.


His body was exhumed from an isolated burial and reburied here at New Irish Farm Cemetery.
