Grave IV.C.7 Captain Cecil Godfrey White M.C. Observer. Royal Field Artillery attached 53 Squadron RAF. Age 26. KIA 21.4.18. Son of Doctor Robert Godfrey White, F.R.C.P., F.R.C.S., and Minnie Moore White, of Lonsdale, Strandtown, Belfast. Grave IV.C.7 Lieutenant Eric Hubert Noel Stroud. Pilot. Leicestershire Regiment attached 53 Squadron RAF. Age 23. KIA 21.4.18. Son of Doctor and Mrs. William Stroud, Bankell, Milngavie, Glasgow. Volunteered in August 1914. They were flying in an RE8, C5037, on a counter-attack patrol over Kemmel. They were posted as missing. Their remains were found intermingled with the aircraft after the war and reburied here. The Exhumation and Reburial Report mentions that one of them was wearing Brogues inside his flying boots.




Grave VT.8 2nd Lieutenant Arthur Saunders Jones. Pilot. 108 Squadron RAF. Age 18. KIA 27.9.18. Son of Mrs. M. E. Jones, of "Gorphwysfa," Victoria Road, Prestatyn, Flints. Grave VT.9 317573 Sergeant Alfred Richardson. Observer. 108 Squadron RAF. Age 18. KIA 27.9.18. Son of John and Elizabeth Richardson, 29 Park View, Queen's Park, Manchester. They were flying in a DH9, E669, on bombing operation over Cortemarck-Thourout when they were hit by anti-aircraft fire and were out of control. They were buried in Blankenberg German Military Cemetery and their bodies exhumed and buried here after the Armistice.
